Incomplete speed run of Jak & Daxter 2 for the PlayStation 2. Was disqualified for submission to Speed Demos Archive when the second of four source VHS tapes was lost in the mail. Author's comments: October 15, 2005 - Ben Fichter There are two reasons why I didn't do this run months ago: 1) I was afraid that it would be longer than 7 hours. 2) The game is difficult. Both reasons are why I did this in many segments. To gauge my time I would cross-multiply. I would take the overall percentage... Topics: Jak and Daxter, PlayStation 2
Speed run of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy in 8 segments, completed on February 14 2005. Available in three versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high quality. Author's comments: I wish Jak and Daxter could've been beaten as fast as Super Mario 64. Less than an hour and a half isn't possible. Less than two hours isn't possible. I couldn't jump into magical pictures to save time. The world of Jak and Daxter acts like an actual world with almost no load times between places.... Single-segment speed run of Jak II on Hero Mode completed on June 30 2006. Available in six versions: normal/low quality DivX, and normal/high/insane/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: Thanks to Radix for all he does and thanks to Nate for putting up the partial Jak II run last year and for doing this run as well since it's long and in many segments. For starters, I am never doing a speedrun of this game again. There's a part of me that thinks at some point a person could do a... Topics: Jak and Daxter, PlayStation 2

June 2003 interview with Jason Rubin, then President of Naughty Dog (from 2001 onwards a subsidiary of Sony), which he then later left in 2004. The time of the interview was before the Jak II release date. The interview deals with his history with games, computers and the business - including with Andrew Gavin, how he made "Punch out" his first game he didn't copy over because of lack of hard drives, and his first published game "Ski Crazed" around age 16/17. He then gets... Topics: Kikizo, Jason Rubin, Naughty Dog, Sony, Jak, Jak and Daxter, Jak II, Crash Bandicoot, Hirokazu...
Jak is back bringing us more of his deep dubby tech sounds. Each track slowly developing deep flushing dark soulful loops all coming, going, and getting lost in their own shadows. Slow hypnotic rhythms fused together and unified perfectly to bring harmonious bliss. One that reminds and gives you appreciation of the ever so slow and subtile transition of seasons that always comes and goes yearly. We thank Jak for another great little shot of soul, but like the flu during these chilly days, his... Topics: dub, techno, deep tech, tech house, jak
